Can you freeze egg? I would like to just because it'd give me another selection in my growing selection of "easy" foods for the budgies. You know, on the days where you can't be bothered to make something fresh. But onviously i wont waste my time if it's just going to turn bad. :ausb:

Well, there you go.. you learn something new every day, especially in a nice friendly forum like this one You are just too good Bea. Mine never get prepared foods. They get fresh chopped or grated vegies.

 

When I had (human) babies, I used to process vegies and other foods and freeze them in ice cube trays.. little ready to go meals... just had to thraw a cube of meat and carrots or tatoes or whatever, and we were ready to go :ausb:

I read in an artical of a breeder that used frozen vegatables from the store. He would put a bowl of the veges in the flight and as it thawed the birds could eat them.. I'll have to find that article for you. :ausb:

My birds get some frozen veggies too - they don't seem to like them as much as fresh though. :ausb:

Bea you can warm up the ice cubed frozen veggies and it will be like they were never frozen :ausb:

I do that too but in this case i was referring to Daz saying "a breeder that used frozen vegatables from the store." So they don't like store bought frozen veg as much as fresh. :budgiedance:

Actually frozen veggies are a lot better for them than fresh. Sounds crazy but its true. Fresh veggies have been left on the store shelves for well I dunno a while. Whereas frozen are picked frozen no leaving lying around. Butttt my budgies prefer fresh where my Grey prefers frozen.

My vegies come straight from growers markets, so I reject that claim

Hmm! Frozen is better than fresh... Since I'm out of fresh at the moment, I'll see if my guys will like frozen corn!
