Hi everyone

 

I'm so sorry for the delay in replying, but I have been out of the office on photo shoots since my last post (we have 50 books going through at the moment)!

 

I feel terrible that we have to decide between these two gorgeous birds - I wish they could both be in the book! The choice was the author's in the end and she has chosen Chucky, purely because she wanted green and gold colouring to suit the words in the text (it's a bit complicated, but because this is a series for very young readers, words have to be introduced gradually, and some words are easier than others for learning readers to decode).

 

Having said that, Riebie I will definitely recommend your Bobby if another book requires a blue budgie - he definitely has *major* star potential!!

 

If Chucky's owner could contact me directly on beth.browne@thomson.com we can start organising a date in early January for the photo shoot.

Oh my god I can't believe it I am soooooo excited!!! All my friends at work think I am nuts coz I just ran thru the factory saying " my birds gonna be a star, my Chucky is gonna be a book star!!!" I didn't know this til now because I been blocked!!! But oh my god I am sooooo excited!!!! I hope there is a sequel riebie so we can get together one day!! *faints with excitement*
