It would apprear that I have an egg eater. I this case a hen that after she lays an egg eats it.

There are a few ways to stop this.

1. Place a fake egg made of a hard material and let her wear her self out.
   
2. Put in a toilet.
   

Number 2 is what I did.

 

I made this to replace the pine concave.

 

I removed the pine concave.

 

Put in the new toilet in place.

 

and put the nest box back togeather.

 

The idea is that the hen lays the egg in the new concave. when she turns around to eat the egg it is gone. Fallen through the hole on to the sawdust below. She can't get at it. All I do is to foster it to another hen.

 

I'll let you know how it goes.
