February 9, 200718 yr Author Here's todays results of Radar and Swifts pairing. The little YF 2 Spangle keeps coming out of the nest. When I tried taking a picture he took off around the birdroom as well. Dying for freedom The little olive looking boy ( maybe greygreen but is very dark ) OLLIE is doing well also. The Lutino and probably a creamino not lutino in this little one.
February 9, 200718 yr very cute Love the last one, i think YF inos are fast becoming another favourite of mine
February 9, 200718 yr Author very cute Love the last one, i think YF inos are fast becoming another favourite of mine Funny....they don't grab me the YF inos. Love the lutinos though.
February 9, 200718 yr They are looking good. I agree Nerwen they have such a soft yellow to them so baby like. I remember seeing one over here at the pet shop that we got Pretty from a while back.
February 9, 200718 yr I am loving your green normal. I have decided that is what I need more of. Big green males for breeding, I have a couple of blues. You never know, AUstralia might follow the UK's lead and ban all gathering of birds too. Which makes this 'breeding for size and health' an even better idea at the moment. Feathers.
February 11, 200718 yr Author I am so excited and happy !! OLLIE....the dark green baby boy in this nest is a "daddy clone"...he IS an olive too. Just checked him over and his tail is navy blue which means he is an olive or violet green ....but he is small in size. A thing about olives is they are often small Edited March 1, 200718 yr by Bubbles
February 11, 200718 yr You definitely wished hard enough, he is a very striking colour. That lutino is also a really strong colour. Great pairing, Karen. Feathers.
February 11, 200718 yr Author You definitely wished hard enough, he is a very striking colour. That lutino is also a really strong colour. Great pairing, Karen. Feathers. I wonder if the lutino is a stronger yellow colour due to Radars dark factors and the violet in him. I have heard it makes the lutino colour brighter and she is definitely a really yolky egg colour...quite bright.
February 12, 200718 yr Karen that is an interesting point and I think would make sense that it could make the yellow a stronger color. Glad these babies are coming out healthy and gorgeous
