A Cage: A Natural Habitat

Hey everyone!

I haven't dropped by lately because of my overload of work for school. But hopefully I can pop by from time to time.

Anyways, I recently went to a bird convention in Montreal, Canada. There was an exposition that spoke of creating natural habitats for your birds in their cages. I only briefly passed by the exhibit, but the cages were so beautiful. I was a little wary though, because some of the plants/most of them were fake. I was wondering if they could be toxic to the birdies?

I was also wondering if anyone here has a natural-type of set up. I'd love to give it a go, but I'm not sure where to start.

Also at the convention I saw the biggest budgie I have ever seen in my life.

He was HUGE.

Anyways haha,

hope someone can post a picture of some sort.

I used to do that for my mice. I would fill their cages with fresh branches and make it like a forest. :)

I'm not sure of fake plants, do you know the name of those that made the exhibit? You might be able to find them online along with info on how they made the set up.

Not sure about the fake plants BUT Karen aka bubbles as a gorgeous natural set up. You may want to search out her set up in avairies plus I know there are alot of suggestions there too :(
