Posted November 1, 200618 yr It seems so long ago that i got Ozzie and tonight i thought Blinkie would like a little special time with his mummy. I was going to bring all the birdies into the shower with me but then i changed my mind and decided i easily owed Blink a little one-on-one time. I've not seen him so happy and chirpy during a shower for a long time. He spent the entire time hopping back and forth from his mirror perch to me, singing and yelling "kissy kiss" at the top of his voice. He was in a bathy mood which he's not been in for a while and rolled around on my shoulder under the water. He was just being a total sweetie. I think i should schedule some more Blinkie time from now on, we both enjoyed it so much. Here's a photo of His Royal Blinkiness with super cool spiked up hair after his shower. Do you ever stop and look at your little feathered babies and feel amazed at how much they touch our lives? Edited November 1, 200618 yr by Bea
November 1, 200618 yr He is soooo cute. I know exactly what your saying Bea. I would be lost without my lil feathered friends. All day Chucky sits on my shoulder. She has to share my shoulder now since I got chloe but she is there all the time. She is out of her cage most of the day coz I don't start work til mid afternoon! Nearly 2 years ago I got my first ever budgie. His name was buddy and he spoke about 50 words. Sometimes it was like he could carry a conversation with me. His favourite words were bulls**t and big brudda( thats how he would say it) Once he said 'Come here beautiful and give us a kiss! It melt my heart. He flew out our open door one afternoon and that was the last I saw of him. I had 4 days off work and I cried the whole time. Everyone was like "its a bird" But he was my best friend and I'll never ever forget him. I still think of him everyday. It is truly amazing how an animal so small and considered not a 'real' pet by so many can touch us in a way that no other pet has touched me before. Bea you made me cry thinking about that!!! hahah
November 2, 200618 yr They are gorgeous pics Bea, I am glad you enjoyed special time.. you should do it with Oz as well Blinkie looks like a crested budgie in those pics hehe :(Laughing out loud): Do you ever stop and look at your little feathered babies and feel amazed at how much they touch our lives? :hap: When Bobby hurt his leg the other day I couldn't stop crying, the thought of not having Bobby in my life went through my head and I couldn't bear it, I love him to bits and that is so true - what a beautiful thought Everyone was like "its a bird" But he was my best friend and I'll never ever forget him. I still think of him everyday. It is truly amazing how an animal so small and considered not a 'real' pet by so many can touch us in a way that no other pet has touched me before. I had people at work laughing at me cause I took Bobby to the vets They really are the sweetest, loving and affectionate pets you could own, without a doubt... Sure my cat purrs and rolls over for a belly rub, when my dog kisses me I have sloppy horrid tongue all over my face But none of them sit on my shoulder, say I love you in my ear and then give me sweet little kisses!!
November 3, 200618 yr Great shots Bea. I can fully understand how much the touch your lives. Even more so after losing my Candy last week. He was probably the most special budgie I had and to say the least that I would give anything to have him back. Budgies rule hehe!!
