Posted October 14, 200618 yr Hi guys i need more help . Im thinking of breeding but where do i put the nest box and how and how big should it be. Would normal woodchips be fine to put on the bottom of the box? And finaly will they breed when there is no nest box because i dont want my louy to go have lots and lots of budgies.

That depends on the cage they are in. Can you discript it or put up a photo. Woodchiips are to hard. Wood shavings is what you need. They shouldn't breed with out a secure place to lay. Some birds have been know to lay anywhere. There is no guarentees that they will breed at all though.
October 14, 200618 yr Sawdust retains a lot of moisture tho. If you do use ny pine or softword shavings etc. make sure you air them first to get rid of nasty toxins.
