Posted October 6, 200618 yr For those of you living in the UK, where is the best (most economical) place to purchase cages? I've checked out ebay.co.uk but haven't found a lot that I'm interested in. I'm moving over there around March and will need to purchase new cages rather than shipping the ones I have over. Poe (eclectus) needs a new cage anyway as she's getting more active and needs more space. Anyone know where I can get Avian Adventures cages in the UK? I'll also need a large (but not too large to fit in a bedroom with a few other cages) cage with 1/2 inch bar spacing for my budgies as well as two decent sized cages (one for a conure and another for my cockatiel). Shipping them alone is going to cost an arm, leg, and a spleen so I'm hoping to find some good deals on cages. Boomberry already directed me to 24parrot.com where I can get lots of supplies for great prices but I'm not impressed with the cages (namely how much they are). Any ideas would be great!
October 6, 200618 yr I got my cages from Ebay, the budgies anyways. I got the tiels and Montys from a local store. Have you thought about getting rat.chinchilla cages for the budgies like what I have - they werent at all expensive and are all suitably coated.
October 6, 200618 yr the price of cages over here compared to the US is shocking i would seriously check out how much it would cost to send them over
October 6, 200618 yr Alot of cages come flat packed and the petshops actually put them together. Maybe you could ask your local pet shop in the US to get some that are flat packed and ship them over flat with all your other stuff.
October 7, 200618 yr Thanks all, I'm going to look into prices of shipping and compare with the cages I've seen in the UK so far. :hap: It's going to be so weird being on the same side of the pond as a lot of you. (Laughing out loud)!
