I clip pieces of dry whole wheat bread in the cage from time to time - usually it is the crust which no one around here eats. Anyway.... they love it!!!!

The bread is fine but Im not entirely sure about the milk Ive heard that birds cant digest dairy products. I use lots of recipe which need milk for my Grey so I usually use soya milk as this is dairy free and should be lots better.

I understand from my club that it is general practice for breeding pairs. Just as Hath put it.

From what I've learnt is that birds are lactose intolerance. a little of the milk is fine, but a whole lot is not recommended. I would never give my birds milk knowing that it's got lactose it in.

Things like Cheese is fine as it's a processed dairy product which means the chemical composition in lactose has been altered which means it's safe for bird. I still wouldn't give them too much of processed dairy due to the fat content.

Cheers.
