Light Poop

Featured Replies

Hi guys, recently i've noticed that Oscar has occasionally been doing really light/pasty poops. He's going through a really heavy moult just now and we've started putting vitamins in his water to help him. No matter what we have tried we can't get him to eat vegetables. Do you think i should be worrying?? He doesn't appear unwell - he's still as hyperactive as usual.

thanks

I have heard different things about vitamins in water. The one I heard is that they really don't work well because budgies don't drink that much water and to measure out what they get on a daily basis is hard.

The veggie thing is hard what have you tried so far? Pretty was very stubborn, Merlin ate them when he saw Pretty eating them.

The poops started after the vitamins where given?

thanks lovey: no the poops started before the vitamins but its just the occasional one - not all the time.

as for the vegies ive tried: chopping them up, cooking them, putting them in with seed and millet. Hes not frightened of them, he just gives them a wee chew then ignores them.

Yeah i had heard that about the vitamins too but i thought i would give them a try.

thank you

Ive had birds who have done the odd greyish light poop and none of them have been sick. Although the occasional odd one to me is okay of course if its constant I would seek a vet.

Have you tried ACE High powder vitamin I sprinkle a pinch on seed or egg food once a week and even more so when they are moulting. I find it helps.
