Here are some pictures of the 2 mischief makers :). Enjoy!

This was way to cute not to post. I uncovered them this morning and found Pretty nestled on the snuggle hut this is the first time ever.

:(Laughing out loud): there is no way he would go in there. When I give Merlin a bath or hold him I stick him in the hut and he comes out the other way. I tried it with Pretty and was like NO WAY :(Laughing out loud):

aw they are so cute!! I bought Oscar a snuggle buddy and he doesn't go anywhere near it!

give it time, Pretty wanted nothing to do with it it wasn't until recent and it has been in his cage for almost 4 months. Merlin had it first in quarentine

Merlin contemplating is just tooo adorable

 My happy hut has done the round of everybody's cages, nobody wants it! :P

I was pretty surprised to find him there he doesn't bother with it at all during the day neither does Merlin so who knows (Laughing out loud)

Merlin contemplating is just tooo adorable

I was gonna say that too! :P They're the cutest pics!

Casper is exactly the same... i have never actually caught him inside his blue fluffy thing, except for the times when i have had to handle him and i put him back inside it. Even then he shoots out the other side the instant he's let go. I have tried all kinds fo things to entice him into it, putting millet inside, putting his ladder right up to it, hanging it on the outside of his cage with his play gym, i even put his beloved mirror inside it and he didn't go in! ... nothing! just found his gym pole to talk to instead! The closest he has come is sitting on top of it like your little one... ah well, whatever floats his little boat i suppose! :):)

yep today Rose he won't go near it :)

:angel1: cute as just love the pictures :angel1:

I think budgies like to keep an eye on their surroundings and they can't see in those snuggle huts. Unless they chose it as a nest, I don't think they appeal to them. I have one and none of my 12 went in it so I removed it.

I think Shawna's right about the happy huts. If they ever DO decided to settle in there, it's going to mean trouble for you. (Laughing out loud). It's a quick way to make a bird very territorial and bitey, actually. I nearly bought one for my baby conure until someone brought up that particular point.

Merlin and Pretty are so cute, I'll bet you're happy you got Pretty a friend.

Your right Terri, I am very happy I got Pretty a friend I can totally see how 2 makes for a much happier Pretty (I know others have singles and they are very bonded to them but Pretty just started to bond after 9 months. So really knows what could have happened he could have been a very bonded bird to me but I can't preen him, feed him and snuggle with him like Merlin does - I am not a budgie). (Laughing out loud)

As for the hut I got it for Merlin's trip home he used to sleep on it in quarenatine but after that was up I put it in there too see if they liked it and they don't bother with it. Pretty & Merlin have never been a jealous bitty birds so when I see symptomes I will remove it. Probably becus I change their cage around all the time

by the way Terri, when did you get your baby conure? I didn't hear about this little one

yeah, our fluffy hut is now just a plaything...good for jumping on, stamping feet on, nibbling on, pooing on, and generally observing the world beyond the bars... makes me want a snuggle hut! It's currently just sitting on top of the cage and sir has got more use out of it flat and useless that he ever did with it hanging up!
