Buddy was freaked, we are having record temperatures here so thought he might like to go into the cooler bathroom, not so! What I do not understand is the spots, the mirror and door are clean and why is there a purple halo around him?

Isn't it strange plus the spots but my bathroom is very "psychochodelic" and my landlord has not chosen to update it, all I can do is keep it clean (natch) as this place is up for sale.

 

Rainbow, you are correct, with all the misting going on in the current heat wave.....................but that still doesn't explain the purple halo and we know I cannot master basic pictures, never mind special effects!

Do you want a physics lesson concerning light, or can I just tell you the purple halo is magic???

:ausb: You know Rainbow, when I have time, you are on! In the meantime, I have to find an appropriate house for my Mom and me and we are under the gun, work 1 1/3 jobs, do a volunteer hands on job, do a volunteer clerical job,take care of my children (birds) and still organize things at work. (One of my workmates said I should charge money and become a professional planner for dinners and parties). Was trying to fix up my scanner the other day to add a picture of my beloved late Yorkie for my signature but I think I am short a cable but I don't have time to figure that out right now. All I can do is take basic pictures, shrink them, take care of my birds, but after all settles down, I will have awesome graphics. I don't have to worry about stuff like that at work, I do the grunge work and my associates present it, nicely! Oh, and the gym phoned yesterday and politely asked why they haven't seen me in a bit.

with the 'purple halo'... It looks like you took the picture facing the mirror and with flash? those are the reflection of the flash, or otherwise it's the sunlight filtering through reflecting off the mirror.

:ausb: Bingo Cheeta, put the camera on AUTO, pointed it at the mirror and that's what happened! Still don't understand it and one day I shall sit down and read the manuals on my DVD player, printer, camera, mandoline....................for right now I just wing it.

Thanks Shawna, all your pictures and graphics look like you could WRITE the manuals! However, despite my technological inadequacies, I am a fantastic cook and one heck of a gardener so I am good at something! Poor Buddy stills get very anxious when a camera is around.

Yeah Cheeta is right. The light from somewhere (flash perhaps) which you can see in the top left hand corner of the first photo has been directed by a mirror or the actual light source itself, into your camera lens. Causing the white light to split slightly (like a prism or crystal) and produce a purple light.
