I have a budgie that somtimes bites me and he usually does, but i want to train him to make him stop, so is there any trick to teach them not to do that????

Well the first thing is not react when you do they have the upper hand.

 

My question to you is how old is your budgie? Have you worked on taming techinques and what type? You can go to www.budgietalk.com and read over taming.

The question you asked was how old my budgie is... Joey is almost 2 years old... so i will go to that website and tell you how if it helped me at all...

I have heard of and going to try the technique of millet training. My budgie bites too. I have been wearing a glove lately. My plan is to wear the glove until she stops biting altogether. I just ignore her nips and go on finger training her. She is perched on my shoulder right now. Millet is a type of seed used as a treat. I will offer it to her and gradually get my finger closer and closer to her. This is teaching her that my hand is freindly. I suggest you try the same thing. Goodluck!
