i diddent notice it before my mom pointed out 2/3days ago she saw one eye had gone slightly whiter in the middle i noticed he diddent likwe coming out the cage any more and when he did always turned the same way im really worried i think hes going blind also his infection is coming to back im really scared i will loose the most special budgie ive ever had imbooking an appointment with the vet ..we think he got the caterract becouse hes got red eyes(yellow faced albino)?????????????well please post any advise on what to do tyhank you mariexxxxx

oh i'm really sorry marie! try not to panic until you have seen the vet - it might be something easily treatable. Let us know how you get on - good luck!

I know they can remove cataracts in humans dogs and cats. Hopefully they can for budgies. The red eyes would probably be the cause of the cataracts, although I don't know of anyone else on here who's inos have cataracts. Does Shadow have any shade that he can use to escape from the sun?
