Tailfeather Grabbing...

Featured Replies

Why in the world does Cloud grab Woodie's tailfeather in his beak? Is it a form of courting or what? Woodie can't even sit on a perch when he is chasing around wanting a taste of her tailfeather! She is like, "Hey! Leave me alone!!! I want to be up here!" and then he chases her down so he has the perch!

I need to get a bigger cage soon so they have more room for their own spots. Goodness gracious...is it courting Cloud is doing or what? I can't figure it out. Does anyone here have male budgies grabbing the female's tailfeathers?

:)

usually a budgie is like what is yours is mine too and some are more aggressive about this (Laughing out loud). It could be courting too, playing and just saying hey I am top dog.

I think playing. Blinkie pulls Ozzie's tail all the time cause he thinks it's funny. :)

They like the feel of it in their mouth. When I first picked Arkady in the petstore, he was harassing all the poor cockateils by pulling and nibbling their tail feathers as they tried to get away. Such a brat
