Posted June 8, 200618 yr Hello, I am new to the forum, my name is Shawna and wanted to introduce myself and my 2 budgies, Casper and Jasper. This is Casper, she is a albino and here is Jasper, I was told he was a male recessive pied here is a picture of the 2 of them together and this is the cage they stay in They are between 8-9 months old, Casper is about 2 weeks older then Jasper. I am in the process of trying to get them hand tamed and will be breeding them in about 4 months. I look forward to meeting everyone here and hope that I can get help with my questions. I haven't notcied any yellow on her, she is solid white , can someone verify that for me that Jasper is a male? I was told that male Recessive Pieds ceres stay pinkish/purplish in color, but when ready to breed they will turn blue.
June 8, 200618 yr Jasper looks male and it will always stay pink even when he is old enough to breed, it will never change blue. Check out Pretty in my siggy you can see his pink cere he is about 1 years old.

Oh the yellow you see on Casper is from their treat cup, it is yellow and it was near the mirror she is standing by. Just dawned on me.
