Is gold harmful to budgies? I have a gold chain I like to wear, but I haven't worn it in a while. I though i saw somewhere that gold is harmful to budgies. Can i wear it?

well that depends if its pure gold or has other impurities and other metals. i know 24 or 23 carat gold is fine for humans to injest. but i dont know about budgies.

A few of my birds chew on my gold chain - I think its fine if its good quality metal - no zinc etc.
