5 days not very long is it?

Oh Ive sprinkled seed on this morning but knowing me they will just pick the seed bits off and leave my Cream of Tweet hehe. Rainbow did say hers took 3 weeks to try it so Ive got a way to go yet I reckon!

My pesky picky budge budges didn't even as much as sniff my Cream of Tweet hehe they all had a little dish full and when I got home they still all had a little dish full! I refilled with fresh last night with no luck and again this morning so I hope they get a little bit more brave and have a nibble today, I think its probably the texture they dont like, its like a risotto. Oh and my Cafe Grass is about 2 inches tall now I will offer some tonight I reckon I will have more luck with that.

okay so I made Cream of Tweet last night it took about 25 mins in the microave on low and it came out looking like risotto but smelt quite sweet and yummy. Ive left a small pot of it in each cage this morning before I came out - am just wondering when I get home who will have tried it, who will have flung it all over my floor and walls hehe!

Aww Lin thats funny but you must have been horrified I know I would have been you poor thing.

I agree with the meat thing I dont eat meat - I do however eat fish but I cant with the head on YUK! Porridge stinks!

Its scrummy I love it on toast or crumpets of muffins (not the bun kind) and not dipped in porridge!

Marmite you mean and yep I love it on my toast. In Australia they have Vegemite but that tastes like soap. I dont like Bovril because its contains meat stuff. Porridge is gross and I bet my Beak Appetit will look exactly like it!

Porridge with Toast? Are you mad - together thats gross you dont sip it in the stodgy stuff do you. I feel quite ill now hehehe!

PORRIDGE! I hate porridge its gooey and mushy and yuk. My Dad loves it and puts treacle in it too - oh treacle = syrup!

Candy is pretty good on trying anything new so am praying my little curious boy will be a trend setter. Ive got the sweet mix 'Cream of Tweet' hehe thought that sounded the more appetising.

Yep but only a week and a half at the very very most I would say. I planted my grass on Friday and its almost done today. I reckon by Wednesday it will be ready to eat. Oh and the tweet mix only takes 15 mins in the microwave, then I guess you have to wait a couple more hours for it to cool down so yep your waiting on that one too hehe!

No mine came really quick and well you have to wait for the grass to grow so my girlie you will have to be patient anyways hehe!

I ordered my online and the grass is growing really well too, they arrived in 2 days. But I guess as they are US products that would be the only way I could purchase them eh?

Thanks Eterri, It actually smells really nice a real cinnimon smell. If they dont eat it I might have it for tea !!

Yeah thats true and Rainbow has tried it already. Gonna cook it tonight hope they like it. It actually looks quite yummy this is one birdie food I might actually try!

okay Cream of Tweet is here, Ive looked in it and there is loads of dry fruit, raisins lenstils, rice etc. It only mentions for parrots though. I am right that I can give it to the budgies cant I. Maybe the meant all parrots not just the big ones.

It hasnt arrived yet but hoping it does today. The grass is growing well and will hopefully be ready the day after tomorrow - cant wait to see their reaction.

Thank Eterri I think Im going to need it maybe not as much with the grass but I arent having high hopes for Cream of Tweet - hehehe. Have you ever tried this stuff its from the US?
