hi I'm Kathy. My love for these darling little birds started at a young age around 4. My mom had parakeets I used to play with one named Selvester. He used to sit on the handlebars of my tricycle. I got my first budgie at 13 as a birthday gift. Her name was blueberry she was a very sweet bird we were very close. She was my best friend up until she passed away a year or so later. I got another parakeet because I missed blueberry so much and named him pee-wee he lived for around 7 years. Than I got busy with school and life and did not have any again until after I was married.
