  1. I have been reading alot about mutations, but want your opinion, what will I get from my: green opaline female and albino male? Cobalt female and dominant pied male? Classic green opaline male and olive green spangle female? Skyblue spangle female and olive green spangle male? dark green female and dominand pied male? pied (think recessive) opaline female, and dilute opaline male? and finally DF spangle male and normal green female?

  3. well, I havent looked at that yet. I will tomorrow. maybe he is just like this. he eats, drinks, hit on the girls, makes friends to everyone, talks alot, but allways sleepy. like he is allways on sleeping pills all the time.
  4. Hi! One of my male budgie, around 2yrs old, is always sleepy and not active like budgie should be, But when he is not,he act fine (I know budgies/birds can hide sickness well) he eat well, he come and talk to me and talk to the other budgies, but he look sleepy, tucks his head and its just like he has low energy. Dont look ill in any other way. What can be wrong? I have never see a budgie like this and I have had budiges for 20 years. If someone know, is this something dangerus to my other lovely budgies? IS there something I can do for him? I give him loads of stuff to eat, eggfood, many varietied of seeds, vegetable etc..
  5. aww very cute, and yes, look female
  6. its been a week since she laid egg nr two. I checked the eggs yesterday and they were all clear. Maybe I should wait until next weekend to remove them. I checked the green opaline eggs and they had veins in them, and were dark inside.
  7. The green spangle hen eggs are all duds. Is it okay to let her sit on them for a while or should I remove them now? or one by one? The opaline hen and albino male chicks should hatch any time now. Exciting I put "King" with my sky blue spangle hen, "Queen" He is so big and handsome and so in love with her They allways gived the previous owner big and beautiful offsprings.
  8. two females. ino males will have pinkis/purple cere females have white/tan/brown cere
  9. he is very cute!
  10. 17 birds. the spangle hen have 3 eggs, think she begun incubating. the opaline green hen have I think 7 eggs, at least one is dud. Dont know what the second green hen have many eggs. I think she is also Incubating. here are photos of the new budgies I didnt know their coloring when I bought them, and it was a nice surpize to see that four of six are spangles and have english in their genes my new budgies by Elma_Ben, on Flickr my new budgies by Elma_Ben, on Flickr my new budgies by Elma_Ben, on Flickr my new budgies by Elma_Ben, on Flickr
  11. Thank you Robyn. I was just thinking if he is also Goldenface, alongside being Opaline green. His face is very bright yellow, more yellower than I have seen before in a bird. SFY is more light yellow, I think.. and DFY is brigter having the yellow color also down the wings, but his wings dont have yellow in them. Maybe the Spangle female was just looking for something to do. She is now in cage with Timon with a nestbox, but still puts the bedding in the water dish. So I had to remove it and put another type of water supplier in there. The opaline green female and the albino male are incubating eggs. I will have chicks after about a week The dark green female and yellow male are nesting, one egg. Tomorrow I am gonna pick up Six more budgies
  12. Could Timon be Golden face?
  13. skyblue, dilute YF2? looks like a male
  14. I think if you pair her up with normal, not albino you will get splits and normals? You ill have to get her a albino male to get more albinos.
  15. Thank you the spangle opaline female and the light green opaline male, Timon, fell in love and have already checked out the nest box. She is in and out every few minits! And the green and albino male are in the same thoughts. She checkes out the box regulary.
  16. Here are photos of the new budgies. IMG_8646x by Elma_Ben, on Flickr the albino male and his mate, green opaline female. 17. I really love cobalts, the color is so vibrant! I cant promise any photos soon. My spangle hen puzzles me.. I have Wood pellet bedding in the cage and she puts it in her water dish, its 4cm high and she stuffs the dish with it! I have to change it many times per day, she is so funny, dont know why she does it
  18. They are very pretty! Congrats on the babies and welcome to the forum!
  19. Thank you I got two more budgies today! cobalt female and blue yf2 (I think) female.
  20. I finally three budgies I have been wating for a long time albino male and his mate, normal green female. and single light green spangle female my first spangle! The pair is in breeding mode and already cuddling and kissing each other. I am gonna try to pair the spangle with my opaline male
  21. Thanks Jenny!! I can see very faint head stripes on the yellows head, amazing you could see he is opaline only from the pictures! Then I am gonna look for blue hen for him and hope he is split blue I have none blue bird, only greens and yellows,
  22. Thank you HIlly! The owner said the yellow is over/about 1 year old. The green one is 2 years old. I dont know what to pair him with, but the chicks will be all like him, right? yellow pieds? When I paired my old dominant pied male with white/blue ressecive pied female I only got dominant pieds, like him, yellow and green and almost all yellow.
  23. Have you/can you candle the eggs to see if they are fertile? if they are see through and clear yellow then they are empty, new eggs are clear pink in color. if they are DIS then they are greyish white, fertile eggs are opaque white and have weins inside. sometimes you can even see heartbeat.
