Is This Cage okay For One Budgie?
http://www.wayfair.com/YML-Play-Top-Wrought-Iron-Parrot-Cage-WI18-YML1003.html One of my white babies is going to a home alone, when his or her new parents move into their new place. He will be about three months old. He will be the only pet of the household, I am a bit worried about his reaction to losing his family and this is the cage they intend to purchase. I'm worried about the bird going into depression. What are your ideas on a lone bird and the cage. He will be allowed out when they are home.

Boston Ferns ?
Do you have an image of Bracken fern? I had read that fern was a safe plant. My Charlie likes to nibble on it. Now I wonder if I had put him in danger. I looked up bracken fern but couldn't find a description. He seemed okay after nibbling on this.

The dad arrived here with a bad wing job, done at the pet shop. In Quebec there are not many breeders. He easily broke a blood feather and nearly bled to death. Luckily I live on the same street as an avian vet. His life was saved but he is shy. He is a lovely cerulean blue and white. The blue almost looks florescent. Unfortunately none of the chicks have that color of blue. The dad is very devoted though and taking great care of his babies with the help of mom. Thank you for the lovely comments. In this picture the daddy is hiding behind everyone else. These are all of my birds, before the babies. I am keeping the blue and white with no marks on the wings and the others (babies) are going to family. I've had him for a little over a year and he was about six or eight months when I got him.

Relatively New To This
okay so I am relatively new at this. I got my budgies this spring. They basically used to fight at first but now all get along. I don't close the door of the cage when they choose to be together because the males will fight. I kind of feel a bit panicked at times because I don't want them to get hurt at night when I can't get them into a cage. I'm still learning more every day about their care. Also my yellow budgie Sunny has dark marking on his feathers ever since I got him. I wonder if he is okay? He acts okay and eats and acts healthy but those dark feathers don't seem right. When I first got them they had all been severely trimmed and I was judged for what the pet shop did. They eat lots of veggies but will not taste the fruit much. All six are photographed from left to right:Charlie, Noah, Allie, Emerald, Sunny and Loki. A friend they don't know took the photo, it made me realize that by now they know me. They all look so scared in the photo.
