Poor Cock. If you have space give him a nice hen. He will always like you for this favor.
  2. Yes........also a df spangle will have a blue cere. KAZ - Can we get spangle chicks from DF Dpied to Normal Pairing?
  3. Thanks Nev. You are a great assest for budgie lovers.
  4. The bird is recessive pied, so the cere would not turn blue even if he gets old. I think Male.
  5. Hi, Can any body let me know the percentage of colors we would get if we pair them togeter in blue series. For Example: Sky Blue to Sky Blue Sky Bule to Cobalt Sky Blue to Grey Cobalt to Grey Cobalt to Cobalt Grey to Grey Thanks,
  6. The father is double factor Spangle masking D Pied as Splat said. If he would have been a DF D pied then the offspring should have not been spangle, since spangle is dominant and birds can not carry them in split form.
  7. I think he is cobalt.
  8. I don't think it is a good idea to discuss God in this forum. We should love each other and respect eachother's point of view. If we were created by a big bang or we had a common gene with monkeys or God created us, this makes no differences as no one would be able to claim for sure what is the fact. We love budgies, so please let us know each other as budgie lover. If I say people who belive in God are laymans, then I think it is not necessery. Or If I say people who do not belive in God are laymans, it is also NOT necessery. LET'S LOVE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER.
  9. Ageed Looks male in that picture.
  10. Hi Hilly - A very interesting post. Please update what were the outcome of those red eyed chicks? Males or females?
  11. Well Done Splat.
  12. KAZ please let us know.

Hi - Good News to hear they are healthy. I think it takes them 5 - 7 weeks to come back into condition. The moulting bird needs plenty of vitamins during moulting. Good Luck.
  14. Nice Chicks. In the last picture your hen seem to be a dominant pied, less than 6 months old.

I am also interested to see what experts advice as I mostly face these problems as well:)
  16. Mom Seems to be Dominant Pied Light Green and Dad Normal Sky Blue. Good luck and please keep us posted. I think any opaline babies form this pairing would be hen, as hens can not be split for Opaline and your hen is Non-Opaline. Experts can correct me if I am wrong.

Hi, I am feeding spinach to my budgies every other day or 4 days a week. Is it okay for their health? Can someone provide a link/list of vegs that we can feed our budiges? Thanks,
  18. Hi, I only know that black faces appeared in Netherland only and then vanished in 90's. Are there efforts to get that mutation back any where in the world? Thanks,
  19. Thanks KAZ. Point Noted.
  20. Renee - In these forums people should be encouraged to ask. Thanks Nev.
  21. Is there someone to post a reply? Thanks,
  22. Thanks KAZ and all others for the comments. KAZ - You mean they will learn after several attempts? Seeing them today I noticed that the hen bends too much more than normal hens and the cock also can't climb. LOL So porblems from both sides. And FYI I am doing colony breeding.
  23. They are probably 10 or 11 months, they are in correct age as per my experience, that is why I wrote ABOVE 9 months. I will appreciate if some one help me regardgin the issue please.
  24. Good news Parakeet Val. Please keep us posted with pics of chicks as they grow. Also please update us with pics of parents, it will be a good fun and also learning. Since we will know what mutations were paired and what they produced. Thanks and good luck.
  25. Hi, One of my newly paired budgies are trying to mate and they are both above 9 months old. The Problem: When the hen bends her back, then cock only puts his one leg on her and then does not climb on her and then he falls down. The perch is quite fine since other pairs mate without problems. He is too much active and always tries to encourage the female for mating, but at the end above problem happens. Does it mean that I should replace the cock or he will learn? I saw him at least 5 times in that situation. Any advices? Thanks,
