Sorry guys, but I am really a novice and have little to no knowledge of budgies as much as I love them. Anyway I bought a nice pair today from a breeder and local club member. I bought what he told me were a male and female. He said he had them for about 6 months having got them as young chicks. the female's cere is the usual brown. The male's is blue around the nostril holes but the rest is brown. He has assured me that it is a male?? Any ideas on what's going on here?

Hi there all, my name is Moshe and I am new to this forum. I have a number of questions which I will ask over time, but for now just one question. I live in an apartment and have a large indoor cage. I have a pair of birds which I want to breed. I have also toyed with the idea of two pair of birds and two nesting boxes. Would this work? or would I be better off putting in a partition first to keep the seperate? What are your expert opinions. Thanks in advance.
