  1. I don't exactly have an answer for that except that I attached one to their cage and they pretty much ignore it
  2. Aerosol or not.......its still down to INGREDIENTS okay thankyou :-) just wasn't sure, ill play it safe, won't use airfresheners in my room :-)
  3. just uploading the pics to photo bucket, i just took all new ones im going to resize them once they have been loaded then ill put 'em up :-) HERE AR THE BETTER PICS!!! At my guess my male is about nine months, I've had him for almost three, i know he isn't old enough for breeding yet, one day in the future I hope to breed these birds together. my female is 21 months
  4. I still have those ones on my computer! :-) I'll put them in here later today!!
  5. I have a question that is somewhat related, i know that pressurized air freshners are harmful for my bids but what if i used a non aerosal freshener is that safe for my birds as long as i dont spray it directly on them or at their cage?
  6. (To start my camera is of bad qualitiy i have noticed that the breast colour of my female and the breast and face colour of my male are not true to life though everything else seems accurate..i think my camera sucks...) I have two Budgies, a male and a female to the extent of my knowledge my female is a white base, blue, no grey factor and no dark factor, she has no different colorings, my guess would be a blue normal...i have no idea about genetics or mutations what-so-ever. here are two pics of my female, i realy think her wings look pretty maybe there is somethign special about them let me know :-) My male is much the same in that he has no dark factor and no grey factor, he is a yellow based green, he hs a patch on the back of his head where there are no bars just yellow feathers, and tough his wings are clipped and sloly growing he has one long just yellow flight feather, the markings on his wings also look a little different fom my female, here are some pics of him. This one (under this sentence) though small, shows the 'bald spot'as i like to call it though he has all o his feathers :-P

I have no idea if this is a good idea or not, my friend Kate told me that if I want to breed my budgies in the future they should have a great diet all he time! this is true and I agree with her. She told me that I should mix Hand feeding formula (still powdered) through my pairs seed, not enough to be clumpy but just enough so everything is lightly dusted...is this agood idea or not?
  8. Hello I had posted here a while ago when I'd gotten my second budgie and quickly learned that i should have kept him separate from my other bird that i'd had for a year. i did this and they were away from each other and in separate rooms for about a month, (i was told quarantine period was about 30 - 60 days) i only put them together yesterday so could it just be because they are in with another bird that they are acting this way? Both of my birds were comfortable with me and would perch on my finger and let my rub their front, but i put them both together and suddenly they bite me and are very skitish, should i maybe keep them in separate cages but in the same room right next to each other until they get used to me again?...i just don't know what i should do now.
  9. His cere is between a purple and a blue colour at the moment. This is Arnold, my little boy. and this is Azzie, My little girl of course here cere is perfectly blocked by that bar but she is a girl here cere is brown.
  10. Absolutely!! You obviously know what you are talking about from owning six budgies. Just because you are younger doesn't mean I know more than yo, which has been proven with what I didn't know, I wasn't even told about separating the birds the lady at the pet store said they'd be okay to be together right away as long as they got along. Imagine how furious I am at her, I know how I'm spending my afternoon tomorrow!!
  11. thank you so much for your advice..how long is the recomennded qeuarantine period?.
  12. Hey I have been a budgie owner for a little over a year, got my first on in june 2009, but I got her a mate just last week...I know nothing is gong to just suddenly happen and I'll have baby budgies crawling around the cage, but what can I do other than getting a nest box to make the new love birds more comfortable?? I will try to post some pics shortly just need to find the cord for my camera. http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/3486/cam0333.jpg The Green and Yellow one on the perch is my new budgie, my little boy Arnold and the Blue and white one on the food dish is my Firsts budgie, my big girl Azzie!!

Just wanted to say that I love the end of your post, too funny!! but true! I have a female budgie that I have had for about a year, she has never laid an egg, I got a mate for her just last week and I know nothing is going to suddenly happen, but I want to give you you props , my female only sees me as the hand that feeds her...yet she still bites me....my little boy though is a sweet heart he makes gurgling noises at me and rubs his head on the cage infront of me, but then the female gets jealous and sqwaks at him and pulls on his tail feathers...
