Somethings Wrong
Hi, my budgie Fly is acting very weird. She doesn't stop moving her feet, as if she is stomping on something all the time and her cere is nearly twice as big as her beak. Is it normally to have an unusually large cere? Also her feet seem all scaly and rashy like sand paper and a bit of it seems to be peeling off. She is currently with four other budgies but they seem fine while she is quiet and always sits by herself. Her mate some how got out of the aviary and she has been quiet since then but I don't think that would be the reason for her feet. Should I seperate her from the rest of the budgies? Please help Georgie,

More Questions
hi its me again about my aviary. I just have a few questions. A. how many budgies will fit in an aviary 1.5m deep x 3m long x 2m high B.Is there something that can make the budgies squarks not as loud/ equo so the neighbours won't complain C.Since I'm not smart enough to figure this out myself, could anyone give me an estiment of how much it will cost for cement for my aviary and breeding (12.5 x 2m) p.s Sorry for asking soo many questions about aviaries, I just want to get the aviary perfect so I don't have to keep making big changes to my backyard. Thanks, Georgie

4 Sections
...no less than each section at 1 and half meter wide ,and 3 long by 2 meters high anything more is great length and wight wise and the taller the roof the less heat so the most you can get for price and yard space is in my opinion best relly depends on what your keeping ( how many birds i mean ) Thanks, great info. I'll do something like that maybe even bigger

4 Sections
Hi, as some of you know I am looking for an aviary. I was thinking of putting it in 4 sections hense the name. I was just wondering what would be the recemmended lengths for each section. I am just asking for the recemmended lengths and don't really need to go into detail (bugdet etc). Any thoughts are very welcome. cheers georgie

Things To Think About
That is a very general question you asked. It is kind of like asking, what should I do with my life? Let's refine the question(s). Why not start by telling us what you want to do, space you have available, finances available, perhaps the "dream" setup, and maybe a photo of the spot where it will go. We can worry about accessories after we go bit by bit. There are also some excellent examples on here of people who have built aviaries form the ground up. Look for them using the search function. sorry for not being descriptive enough but I don't think " It is kind of like asking, what should I do with my life" was very necassery. Anyways, I was thinking of joining my existing aviary with my garden shed, halve my garden shed one for a breeding area and the other for flight, Then I would cut one end off my garden shed and make that part part of the flight as well. My existing aviary will be for young budgies. That is my idea so far. I'm not quiet sure of the finances because I'm still figuring out what I'm going to do. I will also send in some photos as soon as I figure out how to do that lol. I think my line was perfect as it explained the point I was making perfectly. It is not an insulting line, but it was designed to make you think about what you needed. This is even more clearly demonstrated with the fact that you went into greater detail about what you currently had. No one knew you had an existing aviary, or a garden shed. Matt's idea is also fantastic. Join a club and learn a lot. We all started where you are now, so build on this. You will get there. OOO.... I must of taken it the wrong way whoops, sorry.

Things To Think About
I want a fairly big cage, one to fit about 35+. I would like a double room one for flight and other breeding. I am only breeding pet budgies. Things To Think About
Hi, well i'm getting a new aviary and I was asking what would be a good size for my aviary. I am breeding budgies so I need it to be good for a decent amount of budgies. I was also wondering what else to think about when I get it, like food, branches etc. I know the basics but need any tips and easier ways to make my budgies happy. Thanks
