I personally wouldn't give it to mine but thats just me. Try hibiscus flowers, chick weed, eucalyptus leaves, sunflower seeds, rose flowers, carrot tops etc.

Hi Shannon... Yep that's what I do.....not the canned stuff, the fresh stuff from the fruit and veg shop, just wash the skin and chop in quarters....... I also peel mine, just in case there are some nasties on the skin.

There are some really nice birds in that lot. I wonder what sort of money they will go for, I'm guessing they will be out of my price range lol :rofl:

Since getting into budgies, building aviary etc. I'm amazed at how many people that know me want to get rid of there pet budgies Has anyone else found this? I have to say no to them as I'm not doing pet birds. It's a real shame when people think one bird is too much work :redalbino:

I don't no anything about the parents, but I'm sure I could find out. I didn't pay much for him and I was told that if he had an iris ring he would not be for sale. If I was only breeding pet birds I wouldn't be worried, but he is to nice to ignore.

I purchased a nice 09 Grey Green cock bird off a show breeder, the only reason I could buy him was because he has no iris rings. He is a nice big bird and had been benched at a show but was DQF for no iris ring. I would like to breed with him but I'm worried that his siblings may be no good if they also have no iris ring. Can he still be useful to my breeding? I really hope so....... I don't have any pics at the moment as my camera is playing up. Cheers

I love your frogs, we have some nice big green ones as well, they live in a pipe on our veranda and we watch them eating insects at night out side our window. They get really loud when it's about to rain.

Others are better qualified to answer this then me, but if you are only breeding pet budgies I wouldn't worry about the bird not having an Ires ring. If you were showing then it would be different, and remember some varieties have the plum eyes with no Ires ring.
