  1. Hi, I've got some new info. Tis budgie was bought in pet shop about 3 years ago, his owner doesn't remember if he had this grey margings on chest from the beginning, but probably he had. Igorek lived with another budgie - with normal feathers, no markings on chest. I've got some pictures of feathers (they wasn't removed from the body, just taken from cage): http://papuzki.webd....pi%F3rko1a2.jpg http://papuzki.webd....pi%F3rko1a1.jpg http://papuzki.webd....pi%F3rko4a1.jpg http://papuzki.webd....pi%F3rko3a1.jpg http://papuzki.webd....pi%F3rko5a1.jpg Mites? some kind of mutation?
  2. hi, unfortunately it's not my budgie, but i'll ask owner to do some more photo and maybe the photo of feather. There are two more pictures on ouf forum: http://papuzki.webd.pl/album/albums/userpics/16497/normal_Igorek_b.JPG http://papuzki.webd.pl/album/albums/userpics/16497/normal_Igorek1a.JPG
  3. What do you think about this budgie? http://papuzki.webd.pl/album/albums/userpics/16497/normal_Igorek2a.JPG
  4. thanks I've never seen such light blue
  5. Hi, can you tell me what mutation is this light blue budgie from this link? http://ale.gratka.pl/ogloszenie/11310627_para_falistych_nr_2.html
  6. Unfortunately sex linked mutations won't help here Chick 1 is cinnamon (mum cinnamon, dad split) Chick 4 is opaline (mum opaline, dad split)
  7. Chicks are about one month old chick 1: chick 2 - picture in day light: chick 3 - picture in daylight: chick 4
  8. Thanks for help
  9. Hi, I have some problem with my chick colors... Chick on the right is cinnamon dom. pied YF2 with one dark factor. Isn't she also violet? This chick is cinnamon YF2, but he is quite turquoise - is it normal?
  10. If she is so yellow, she doesn't have dark factor, does she?
  11. I've read this article some time ago, but as I've said - in reality I didn't see any difference On photo I think can see it I'll check the legs
  12. unfortunately, I took only one picture I was trying to see this plum eyes in second nest (I've expected some cinnamons there) but I think I'm blind - I didn't see anything unusual...
  13. Yes, that's why I asked: Is hen cinnamon, split to greywing (not split to cinnamon) That means, that cinnamon greywings have darker markings than cinnamons? I thought I know my budgies... mutations are too complicaded
  14. okay, last questions 1. second misterious chich is cinnamon or greywing? 2. So hen is cinnamon split to greywing? Shouldn't cinnamon lighten the body color (she is quite dark for me..)
  15. So it is not cinnamon + greywing? --> so hen is cinnamon, not greywing?
  16. I have two nest with chicks now. My problem is, that parrents from 1 nest are greywings (for me), but my friend say, that hen is cinnamon . I didn't care much, but in the nest appeared cinnamon chick! That means that cock is split, but now i don't now - is chick cinnamon or greywing cinnamon?? I'll give a lot od pictures XD Hen (grey greywing YF2): Cock (mauve greywing YF2): First chick (grey greywing): Misterious chick (greywing or/and cinnamon, yf2, grey): Another misterious chich (not much cinnamon, not much greywing;) ): I don't know if it will help but those pictures were taken the same time, the same place - 100% cinnamon from diffrent (second) nest (but also yf2, cobalt, opaline): And another one from second nest (cinnamon, dom. pied, yf2, cobalt):
  17. Hi, this budgie is 2 years old, and I have no idea what mutation is he? (besides dom. pied)

Today hatched second chick! With 4 days delay... Is it possible? Or maybe two chicks died in the egg?

I have one pair in my breeding cage... They have 8 eggs, they are completely unrelated (from two different breeders), hen was siiting on teh eggs all teh time but I have e problem First chick should hatch 30 december, and he hatched 31, but then - notthing happened.. Almost all eggs looks like this http://lh5.ggpht.com...12/DSCF5518.jpg So I thing it's a problem. Breeding cages are in the house. Birds have good diet, she is almost 2 years old, he's about 14 month old. This hen one time had chicks with other male and everything was okay, and she accept new male. Have you got an idea why eggs looks like this? And what happened to them?
  21. http://allegro.pl/item1169125436_faliste_falista_para.html What do you think about cock in this picture? Is he 1F GF or green? He is about 6 months old, and breeder said that he was looking the ame before first moult.
  22. great So i'm waiting for the moult  But he will be green even he is cobalt? I thought that only skyblues turn totally green... And one more question - If hes genotype is GF YF2, than i think he won't be totally green PAdoula - I have the same problem with violet factor in the photo
  23. It would be quite long journey
  24. Well... parrents mutations: Father is skyblue DF spangle, SF YF2 opaline, and mum is SF GF? mauve, cinnamon opaline. She is a lot more yellow than cock, polish breeders even told that she is olive - but this pairing proof that she is not yellow, so I think GF... When I look at the chicks and see the difference between intense in yellow between them, i suppose it really is GF...
  25. okay, so he is a normal opaline spangle One more question: this very yellow chick is SF goldenface isn't he?
