I'm not sure if her partner feeds her, I haven't seen him do it I only ever see her in the food dish eating away by herself lol she's an ugly little odd ball at the moment but she's won a place in my heart, I caught her last night in the dark as she's less spooky in the dark and she let me trim in no problems, she seems happier today And other news is I went in to check them tonight and a second chick was in the process of hatching

Thanks. It is possible to seperate them, my four pairs are already on eggs ( 2 pairs in each avairy) I'm just thinking about my new ones, they are in quarantine at the moment

How to you plan pairs? I put my 8 birds in an avairy, waiting for them to pair up then moved them. I have a cock bird I really like (below) And would like to pair him with a hen ( would love suggestions as to which colour hen) that w That would produce chicks that have colouring like him So my question is how to I get the two I want to bond? As with my previous pairs they picked their own mates

I'm avairy breeding at the moment, so far so good but I have two pairs per avairy. One avairy is 11 x 6 the other is 5 x 7 they both have 6 nest box's per avairy ( 2 pairs & 6 boxes) my chicks are only starting to hatch though so I may run into problems, if I do I will be removing the boxes and just having birds to look at

I just went in to take a quick photo & it looks like she does actually have light green on her feathers ? Also I have 3 avairys. One is approx 6 x 11 Other is a suspended avairy about 3 x 5 x 7 And a smaller square one prob 5 x 5 How many birds could these house without over crowding? This one has 4 budgies in it This one had 4 also plus one chick hatched yesterday This one no longer has finches it has the 5 new ones

Hi thanks for the replies, The new birds are in their own avairy ( there are 3 avairies photo'd here lol ) I live in the sticks & our local vet is useless he won't even look at birds, I'll get a decent photo of her today in the light so you can see her beak clearly, it's the bottom one its grown up & out on an angle

This girl has a deformed beak. I picked up 5 budgies yesterday this girl was in a pair, I pointed it out to the breeder, he said it doesn't affect her & just gave her too me, she can eat well but I'm very sad for her, I read I can clip her beak to help, should I or should I put her down?
