    hi - thanks for your responses. there was only some nibbling on a couple of the birds, the rest hadnt been touched. its a mystery! its been raising lots and yes the rain has been getting into the cage we have had rat bait outside the cage but nothing inside. does seem it could be poison just not sure how!

    hi sometime on sunday morning we noticed that all our budgies including quails were dead. they were all happy on saturday. one of the budgies had been chewed on (i assume by a rat?) any thoughts on why they dropped dead?
