I was just wondering if budgies travel well and what is the best way about going about transporting them long distances? I live in Caboolture at the moment however I will be moving out to St George soon (it's about 8 hours travelling). There will be maybe 2 to maybe 3 times I will need to transport them back to Caboolture when I am on holidays and have finished my year out west. Will they be alright? I'll try and cut down their travelling time as much as I can to really limit the amount of time they have to spend in the car but I don't want to burden the family I am working for with having to look after my birds on top of every other animal they have to look after... Thanks.

Hello all! I hope you all had a good Christmas. I'm brand spanking new - I have been wandering around the site for the last couple of days and read a lot of really good information and decided to bite the bullet and actually join! I am in the process of trying to find a breeder to get two budgies to keep me company and brighten my day but I still haven't got as far as getting any birds yet. I am looking forward to becoming a part of your community and gathering wisdom along the way.
