  2. Thanks KAZ, but your cabinets look pretty good too!!!
  3. Hi Everyone, Recently I started to make some breeding cabinets. They are almost finished now, Stands and Trays are the only things to be done. Anyway here are some pictures. Anyway, enough pictures. The main reason I posted this was because I was wondering if I should put a landing platform below the entrance hole to the nest box. Dad brought this stuff home and I was wondering if it was any good. The holes are probably about 6-8 mm wide No budgies in there yet... Won't be able to start breeding till October. Thanks In Advance, nitsuD
  4. Thanks KAZ
  5. RCA is most likely to be the breeders code. It should also have the state the breeder is from (NSW, VIC) for example. That should help in finding where it is from.
  6. Yeah I agree stay in the hobby. Imagine all the fun you'll miss out on if you leave Babies etc. Linebreed as AV said or get one more male or even depending on your hens ages' Pair one hen to a cock and wait till there chicks are at breeding age and pair them to the other hen.
  7. Okay then Thanks
  8. Hello everyone, While looking at Kaz's Babies photos a while ago I noticed she was using Porridge Oats as a nesting material. However another member then said they weren't good for the eggs. Has anyone else heard this and would advise not to use them, Or are they safe to use? Thanks nitsuD

Hi Guys, I also read this article and found it very interesting. Does anyone currently use the product Don refers to "Vetafarm Soluvite D Breeder?" If so have you seen any improvement in your stock. Also do you think this product is worth buying or is there another way around it. Thanks, nitsuD

Hi Daz, The way I interpreted this post is that you moved the breeding cabinets with birds in there is this correct? Did the birds have eggs and chicks? If they did when you moved them did they become stressed or stop sitting on the eggs etc? Is it too risky for the chicks and eggs Thanks nitsuD
  17. Yeah, I would definitely add the sliding trays. The dimensions don't really matter as I will be building my own. What would be the minimum size?
  18. Yeah I agree
  19. Hi, About a week ago I bought a new aviary which I will try to turn into a breeding room, so I am getting a few more breeding cabinets. These are the ones my uncle uses (He makes them) and I think this will be the design I will use. Are there and faults in there or anything that could be improved Thanks nitsuD (Mainly talking about no. 32 and 33)
  20. Thanks everyone for the replies, I think I will give them home made seed bells as well as getting someone to feed them every 3 days or so.
