  10. My post of 24th Dec also refers to opaline characteristics. Many opalines nowadays don't display the clear saddle but are brindled to a greater or lesser extent. An opaline with a clear saddle is beautiful, but they tend not to be show birds. Other opaline characteristics include the ground colour of the wings being the same as the body colour, a tendency to have windows or patchy areas in the wing pattern, and an area on the leading edge of the wing which is yellow in green series birds, white in blue series birds. An opaline which is true to variety desirably displays opalescence in the saddle and body feather but this is less and less evident in the variety over time. The bird originally posted in this thread displayed the opaline ground colour in the wings, but none of the other opaline characteristics. It had me tricked! so what your saying is that some my opalines are not opaline thanks just to make my life more complicated... lol well needed a nother chalange typing destinction i now start over yet a gain .... grrrr

  22. kazzy you have a wonderful eye for birds and their quality and are to me also a wonderful friend and help although you are the brain with the genetic side of things and with out you i would still be going through my folders dayly working out who has what typing and genetics it is only through your patiance and exeptance of my inobility to retain infomation unless regully repeted that my brain is actually starting to kick start and remember small things i can not thank you in any other way than helping you get started with the best of whats on offer as you know its taken us pationce and alot of trying not to impolse buy knowing what we want will eventually come within reach a good flock is a well chossen one you have achived this mabe i gave pointers and tips but ultermetlly the decishions have been yours well done and i must admite i get rewarded seeing your well kept over loved beautiesthanks for the kind words but it takes two to tango and as our friendship bloomes so will our flocksevers so gracefully and beautifully 2011 will be our real first breeding year as our plan will start to move into fushion and with it the biggest gift anyone could give me a strenthond memorie and the ability to retain infomation once more for that i thank you always chordwheres a picture of your visual cock?
