  2. um why my birds been eatting boiled potate for ever they love it and mashed with butter and nutmeg mmmmmmmmmmmm yum i want to live in my aviry lol no really why darl ps that was not bs they do get that only once a month i rotate everything and make sure they get diffrent things with not the same vitimans in them so they dont get to much of one thing and its balanced but never found boiled potatoe a prob wouldnt give them raw or peels
  3. i dont know why you dont just use parafin oil for now you buy it in the chemist and just dip into with a ear bud cover all efected areas for four days morn and night then again few weeks later for four days again then repeat treatment in six months to kill new hatched mite as eggs dont die with this treatment how ever if you only need to do it till vet gets back i would treat with parafen oil just till then least will kill the adult ones as it suffercates the mite just a thought
  4. nice to know im not the only one lol i spend 35 dollors a forgnight on freash fruit and vegg on birds alone and buy a loaf of bread a day for them as well as bread and fruit veg for me and kids my mum thinks im crasy and should just give them scraps but with 60 birds and more on and off they really need their own i shop for them as i would myself costly but when you round up the fact my birds dont get sick or have i lost many only two in three years and one to broken neack other was brought sick as young chick i say worth every penny spent go nutrition and health
  5. that is good writting and im glad to see it clearly states to add ice in the am as adding ice when heat is at uttmost can cause the birds a shoke to their system and cause death
  6. i would just rince them in some cold water wash as you would your own friut i wash all veggies corn everything unless its frozen yes frozen when corns not in season and other things like spinage i get frozen veggies sometimes when moneys tight i get country garden and stir fry veg for them in frozen form just defrost and then feed they actually enjoy the stirfry heaps

  19. he must know him self if he has birds the same ... The breeder I bought her from last year has a few birds he calls "quarter siders). He has a tcb with one white patch on the left side of the rump, and a grey green with one blue spot onthe top right hand side of the rump. Could it be a quarter sider? quote what you wrote. i would take what mb says sorry im not fully convinced looks like stain but i do see it has brown on its wing on other side so am not calling you a lier just im a need to see person i still go with fellow pied if it really is green with the brown marks and rec pied was a good choise to pair her with please keep us up dated
  20. okay i think its cool but i wouldnt put a budgie in it but im a bit weird like that, id most probbly hunt down a dead crow or something larger and then place its skeliton in their with wire to keep it up standing but again thats me thats really what id do with it then hang in tree out back yard above my cow skull i keep as garden view points (prob should of kept that to self)
  21. im really not being rude but it does just look like some thing has driped on her i paint so know what something looks like when its dryed on really inspect her close i think shes just a lutino who needs a wash
  22. thats a crack up sure she not half spider lol
  23. mabe bath her and scrub that green stain off wing as it does look like something stained on her and if she like that tomorrow after bath then take close up of wing markings (as looks like it is on feathers ) how ever if it really is green feathers then i dont have a clue fella sorry :budgiedance:
  24. you sure looked like they did on picture mabe im seeing things ???? well if that the case could just be a lutino but im sure i saw cin on last picture take another look please now i think im seeing things lol
  25. not green ones cinnimon on wings normally lacey looking hence the word laced wing some times they can be really faint and darken as the bird matuers but she must be at least a year if you have put her up so ... i say a pied fellow but thats only as i have been wanting to breed pied fellows for a while but the ones i have seen had way more body and wing markings only reason you would know they were fellow was to look at their pink eyes good luck keep us updated please
