Just to let you know, he is better-ish! His problem comes and goes! We ensure he is not in a draft, with plenty of seed. I grate carrot into his seed so hopefully he eats it! Thanks for the tips! (Must remember when I weed the garden to save a dandelion leaf or two.....I have plenty!)

Thank you for the welcome! Fergie was brought as a pet for my daughter, with my son helping, I am now the major carer for him! He sits and chats to me through the day and helps keep our little dog amused! (She likes to keep an eye on Fergie.....so Fergie divebombs her!)

I now have some more ideas on how to get Fergie to eat his greens! I like the kebab idea as he likes his 'hanging' toys...he sits on one and head butts another!

I keep telling him that, but he looks at them and refuses to try! Even put broccoli 'trees' in his cage but nope! Carrotts whither and are left! By The Way, just noticed today that the do seem better, still not right though!

Hello! My forum name is Fergie. This comes from the family budgie! When we got him, the children kept arguing on what to call him. When the oldest was young there was a TV series for kids about Budgie the little hellicoptor and his friends. It was based on books written by the Duchess of York, Sarah, otherwise known as Fergie. Hence I over ruled the children and Fergie was named! We live in Adelaide, moved here in 05 from England and love it!

Can you give me some advice please? My budgie has a poo problem. For the past few days our little boy has had yukky green poo. He is not dirty at his vent, and he is not sounding or looking ill. He is still chirping and squarking like mad! Just before his poo went green, it was very wet...dont know if that helps! He doesnt eat veggies he just dont like them! He has good seed, always fresh water and is regularly let out to fly and has fresh air via his outside hook! Is it a trip to the vets or a cheaper trip to the pet shop?
