My Budgies
What's so insane about it? Budgies are no worse than dogs/cats. If anything they're better. With budgies, they're a lot more enjoyable. Cats + dogs will tire out after a while, but you can just clear your mood up by watching your birds

May Budgie Of The Month
I live in canada/alberta email address: davesaraswat@gmail.com description: These are my 2 budgies, they're very beautiful, and to higlight their natural beauty, I took a photo of them at the perfect moment, and pulled up photoshop - I added in a little light to higlight their beauty, and so that others may enjoy them. I like the budgies in the picture because they're very friendly, and the picture emphasizes their sophisticated side which can never be understood by humans, and their friendly side, which most humans will simply enjoy for no particular reason. Heres hoping my budgies are picked - Dave

My Budgies
These are my 2 budgies. As you can see, they love each other. I decided to make a sig out of them. They're not really named though... I encourage individuality as long as they don't run away from me (which they do)

Going From Pretty Tame To Not Very Tame...
I actually fed my bird some millet a while back, took it to my room because(b/c) it wouldn't stay with(w/) me in any of the areas it actually knew. So - I took it to my room, gave it some millet, talked to it nicely. Everything went smoothly till the door opened.. But yeah, thanks for your advice

Curiosity Question
Thanks for all your help, I've got to rethink a couple of things. As for the homes - my friends have expressed real interest in owning a budgie, they seem to love birds, and suddenly asked me about breeding them. I understand why you wouldn't want to put your budgies in a pet store, the employees there usually seem inexperienced when it comes to budgies and other birds.

Going From Pretty Tame To Not Very Tame...
Well actually - I've had 6 budgies so far - 2 of them when I was in grade school (1 died, another flew away), and 2 budgies with my "first" budgie. Those 2 budgies somehow died (I had them seperately) suddenly. My brother + Dad blamed my current "first" budgie, however the new bird seems to be going okay.. I've had the new bird since January or February... I think it's kind of wierd what happened to my other 2 birds though...

Curiosity Question
I've been thinking of encouraging my budgies to breed next year (age...), and I have been wondering when mating season is, how long it takes to hatch an egg, and how long the babies would be fed by their mother for. Could anyone please give me a detailed response so I could decide whether this is right for my budgies and I? Thanks; Dave

Going From Pretty Tame To Not Very Tame...
I had to personally clip their wings - there aren't any avian vets in the area even though its a metropolitan city.. and I don't trust the cat/dog vets. Anyways - they're wings are clipped, but I couldn't clip the old one's wings fully. I also trusted it >_> edit: thanks for the welcome :hap:

Going From Pretty Tame To Not Very Tame...
My budgie's gotten a lot less friendly since I introduced a new bird (4-9 months old) to the cage. My first bird is about 1 year old, and he used to be tame enough to walk on my fingers, and walk right up to me happily, now he'll just play with the other bird a lot. Whenever I get my bird to step up (he will), he'll just fly away after 10 seconds. When I seperated him from the other bird, they'd cry for each other. Yet - when I take him to the bathroom for a small bath (about 100mL of water, supervised with my hand nearby), he'll be nice to me, and they don't cry for each other. Was it a mistake bringing the other bird home? Also, the other bird, despite being a child is nearly impossible to tame, it'll always fly away - here's something funny: when we got it, it'd just fly everywhere, it's wings weren't clipped - as well, the bird'll just bite out of nowhere. It doesn't really hurt anymore, but it's annoying. How can I make my budgie more tame if it just flies away whenever I try to go near it?
