Concerned For Neighbours Budgies
I like the flier idea

Concerned For Neighbours Budgies
Our council does random yard checks on animals, to see that people with dogs and cats are registering their critters so budgies in poor conditions would be picked up in a check like that

Jwancia's New Small Flock.
Did you decide on names yet? My bush budgies are Shiela and Bazza

My First Breeding Loss
It would have to be quite diluted as vinegar is very acidic and may cause mor problems than it fixed. At the dilution required I'm not sure it would help. Also if you recall it took quite a few hours to do that experiment Liv and if I was a budgie I don't think I'd want to sit in vinegar all day

You could get a friend that they don'tknow to knock on their door and pretend to be an inspctor

Concerned For Neighbours Budgies
Maybe you could knock on their door and say you have a little cousin/nephew/neice/friend who is getting an aviary and wants some budgies to put in it and ask where they got theirs from, they might pass them on to you and then you could either keep them or find them a good home Personally it doesn't sound like they really have shelter to me If you did get a moment when they weren't home I would take the birds out and put them in a box and 'relocate' them and then put the cage on the ground on it's side like it had fallen off the table. Don't t them out as in reality they would probably die.

How To Make A Hospital Cage
If you installed the light in the top behind a piece of dark perspex(heat safe) it would allow heat but lessen the light

My First Breeding Loss
Is that for a egg bound hen though SW or for a prolapse? I've always heard that for an egg bound hen but figured maybe it was different if the hen was prolapsed.

Egg Bum All Around
Most of the time he just sits on the perch looking bored AV so I don't know how we'll go but she seems keen so hopefully she has given him a nudge He did have his bum sticking out of the nest box this morning when I went to check on them so there does seem to be a bit of interest there. Hopefully he's just tricking me and they're really at it like rabbits when I'm not looking

Egg Bum All Around
I put boxes on a number of my cages early last weekend including for a couple of pairs which I was unsure whether they would even do anything. Well all but one of my hens with boxes now have egg bum of various sizes happening so I am crossing my fingers for some eggs today or tomorrow It's just so exciting having the first eggs of the season arrive I am pleased to announce that the crested pair AV gave me for my wedding are looking promising and incredibly so is Mr Ozzie and his hen, although I have my doubts about how much mating has been happening there so the eggs may not be filled anyway, but we can only hope

Respiratory Infection Help
Can I suggest sending a PM to member 'Angelic Vampyre'. She is located in the Burwood area and has an EXCELLENT avian vet who is well worth travelling over that way for if Renae can get there

My Visit To A Pet "super Store"
If the doe had contact with another male after she had the first litter it may have been a new baby

Position Of Breeding Box!
Did you get my PM that I sent you nearly over a week ago offering to post you some wire for your cage? You are getting very upset about the advice and help being offerred to you when all people are doing s trying to make sure you are your birds are as happy and healthy as possible for as long as possible. Had you taken me up on my offer when I made it you would already have the wire and no one here would be getting upset about the use of shade clothe would they. The reason people are getting cranky is that you are asking for help but when people give you help you get upset and don't want it.

I lost two quials to snakes last summer, be VERY careful and make sure you have fine mesh on your aviary

Nah, he's met the cat before so they're fine

Midnight Drama
okay so the dialogue went something like this: The time is midnight, I am in bed half asleep, when Alex (4 yr old runs in) Alex: Mum, mum there's a rat and Alley's(cat) playing with it! Me: A rat, there wouldn't be a rat in the house Alex Alex: There's a GIANT rat mum Me: You're imagining things Alex, go back to sleep. Alex: OOOKKKKK (in a whiny voice) 10 minutes later, the house is quite again and I open my eyes to see a large rat trotting in my direction across the bedroom floor. As it gets closer I can hear it makes small sniffing noises and the hair on the back of my neck stands on end. Finally it reaches the edge of the bed and start climbing up!, then it LEAPS! Scroll down... And starts licking my cheek... This was the rat: Pumpkin was promptly scooped up and put back in his cage which was secured properly

Pine Shavings
The same can be done with any dry product. So if you have anything that you keep in a container and use slowly like egg and biscuit or handrearing mix a small cloth bag of rice in the bottom will keep the mixture nice and dry.

Help The Hen
In my case atleast he has been in an aviary and just sits there looking disinterested in there too , I really want some chicks from him though, so much so that I've considered AI even, wish TB was still around...

Confused Budgies
Cynthz this bird is too young to be breeding, think of it this way... How old are you? What age did you hit puberty? Would you have been ready to have a baby at that age? Just because our bodies provide the right hormones to say we can have a baby doesn't mean our bone structure is developed enough or that we are emotionally developed enough. Essentially by breeding too young you are asking a baby budgie to have babies and that is likely to end badly
