thanks everyone. :offtopic: What cage fronts does everyone use for breeding cabinets (I would prefer to attach the box to the outside of cage front)?? And where do you get them from?

I won't be breeding in that one. It will probably end up being a juvi cell, or quarantine cage in the long run... At this stage I'm not sure what dimensions my breeding cabinets will be as I haven't been able to source a local cage fronts supplier/manufacturer that have any that I like... Thanks everyone it is a modest begining but now that my wife has seen it she's desided that she wants me to build some chests for the kids toys and stuff lol...

Well I'm not a handy man by any stretch of the imagination, but I want to build my own cabinets and stuff so bringing X home was the perfect opportunity. I had some spare cage fronts that I got a while ago so I popped down to bunnings and went shopping... its not a DAZ masterpeice but it is something... Dimensions are 1200 X 600 X 450 I tried making a little perch thing-a-me-jig too...

Interesting, I'd want to see scientific evidence before I believed that 'you cannot overdose your birds on this' but Aloe Vera is known for its good medicinal properties in other animals like you say.

I would try and make a foraging toy for him. if you do a search for captive foraging on the forums there are some good cheap idea's... seed in a scrunched up peice of paper... once they catch onto that stick it in a toilet roll cylinder so they have to search for it... http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....c=23812&hl= theres a start
