  1. ahhh so cute! I hope that his wing gets better. It would be a real shame if it doesn't... poor little guy.
  2. I was thinking the same thing as you MB... I think we should each get some from each clutch but split it in such a way that it helps us both out. If I am lucky enough to get cocks out of the lacewing/opaline pair that would be a bonus. Like I said in a previous post, I'm just stoked that they are going to be breeding.
  3. Not long to go now... almost 24 hours to go... there is a chirping of expectation currently in the JimmyBanks Budgie camp... Lip and Len know that they are going and have been told to be on their best behaviour...
  4. My wife and I do that too..
  5. I've read that if you give to much to them that they will start to get runny poo's...
  6. Is anyone else having difficulty viewing my pictures???
  7. But there vents are blocked by the perch you can't see anything I promise!!!

  9. well lip (green spangle hen is grey maybe blue) and len (green series lacewing hen is pink) pink would make sense with the lacewing as its close to the ino... As for your firewall... I did a fair pit of editing because everytime I posted it came up as the original picture not the smal picture... and the original was massive... are they working now?
  10. well here are the feet of my massive flock... I know its a very long list and I'm sure it will provide the information that you desperately need... :budgiedance: Green Spangle hen Green Series Lacewing hen

  12. The difference a sentance can mean over an ocean... :budgiedance:
  13. I would say they are fine... I just had a brain surge... I know someone on here is a qualafied botinist (can't remember who) and can tell the type of tree by looking at it... why don't you post some pics of the tree...
  14. :budgiedance: he is so cute. Thats great.
  15. thats funny as!!
  16. but couldn't that mean that it was sex linked?? like the male was split blue feet??
  17. glad you both liked it... I just can't grasp it... I agree it's very informative but I dunno... I haven't used my brain in years...
  18. ahh c'mon Sailorwolf... we could spend all day discussing "English budgies" haha!!
  19. just found this on the web... the University of Florida.... Budgerier (Melopsittacus undulatus) This tiny bird is commonly called a parakeet or canary. It is native to the Australian interior. The wild budgerigar is green with a yellow head and wavy black and yellow patter to the black feathers but mutations are common in pet birds. Escapees have formed colonies in localized urban areas along the Gulf Coast from Crystal River to Ft. Myers and in Ft. Lauderdale. http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/pdffiles/UW/UW21300.pdf - wierdo's...
  20. That is a great idea! They are very cute!
  21. they don't look much bigger than the sparrow's feeding... They are so cute. I wonder if it would be possible for them to survive... I have heard of wild flocks in Florida... they've all reverted to normal green's as well...
  22. Good luck with it all.. Makes quarantining hard when you are interstae and buying from so many sources... The birds look great... Look forward to seeing them all when you get back
  23. I know this is old but I just wanted to say you did a great job and your birds look great
