with the apple cider vinegar or white vinegar should I just spray it on and let it dry.

Cleaner cages is this okay? 1) take out tray. 2) high pressure rinse it as well as cage, I use the garden hose, as it great for pressure and the water is hot heated from the sun. 3) scrub tray with hot water and dishwashing liquid. I figured it is safe for us so It should be for birds or am I wrong? 4) wipe out cage with cloth I try and do the bars in and out if I can other wise I just wipe out the plastic area or whatever the floor is made of. Usually the garden hose I use as high pressure gets the bars clean. 5) let dry in sun. 6) now this I haven't done before disinfectant the cage. Now how is this applied? should I use a spray bottle and just spray it on and let it dry? can I use the homemade cleaner with bicarb and lemon juice to as a disinfectant? Can I use home brand disinfectant the same way? or should I get avi care disinfectant for pets?

Is egg and biscuit hand rearing food? What foods do you provide to them for mum to give to babies. I usually give them a good quality seed mix, peas, corn, and a good veggie mix. Also egg and biscuit mix anything else I should provide them with?

okay well heres what I can get. So far if anybody has any names of other popular brands that can get the below please tell. Non vet drugs as I found out you must have your bird diagnosed with the condition or It is illegal to give the script out for it. That's the law I was told. 1) A lice and mites treatment easy enough to get many brands. 2) Wormer once again very easy to get. Loads of brands. 3) Protozoa/canker/Coccidia Ronivet-S hard to find and Coccivet 4) Psittacosis TRIPLE C Treats psittacosis 5) CALCIVET for calcium supplementation. 6) Vitamin supplementation loads to choice. 7) Probotic found a few. 8) Megacteria somebody said lemon juice but didn't say how much. Does anybody use lemon juice to treat Megacteria or is there a non vet drugs I can get? Now this is the only one I need to find a treatment for. So I really need to find now petshop brands for treatments for Megacteria and at least another choice to choose for treatment for canker.

I don't know if I have already said but I am not looking into go fully into quality breeding. Just looking for something to do as a hobby maybe sell some birds now and again at the markets. But I don't want to be the on known for selling crappy sick birds either. So I don't know if I need to go full gear with the treatments or not as as yet on just normal birds as I don't know if its worth giving tons of $ worth of treatment to just normal ones. I would go full on with treatments if I had rare birds but that's about it. I am not trying to be cruel or anything but I will follow the program and quarantine them for 45 days and give the all the treatments I can find that a petshop has as well as that stress relive thing. Pro something. As going into vet drugs is just to expensive for me to do when there not sick.

well I just emailed veta farm and got a reply from them they said that most of these illness the drugs on prescription, now if there prescription policy is like the human one which I bet it it. I won't get the drugs because the birds ain't sick. I am waiting on the lady the emailed me to call me to discuss this further. Can you get bird insurance? to cover vet bills by any chance?

At the moment I clean my cages and small aviary daily with a pant scraper to remove the **** from the trays in the button as they are out side and when I use paper it just blows up and around my birds so I can't. How often should I scrub it all down? I'm going to start also using that home made cleaner on here if I can find it. I also clean there food and water dishes daily. Anything else I should do?

Can you give me some examples of the treatments you use as I can't find anything on them except coccidiosis, that is the only treatment I can find, vetafarm only has treatment for that condition. Like name of the product I should get. a couple of each if you can as that brand might not be around here.

okay I will treat for all of them. Now umm I cant find a treatment for canky well I can but only for dogs and cats. what be its name of a treatment for this canky? What is this psittacosis its not mention on that faq only coccidiosis is or is this the same thing?

Well I am getting 10 new birds what do I need to treat them for anything?I already give my birds wormer and vitamins, can I stop the cuttlefish bone in cage as calcium is in the vitamins. So I should treat the new birds for canker,coccidiosis, and megacteria?

Also can you stop giving cuttlefish bone to them if you use ornithon powder?

I was reading the quaratine program in the faq, do you have to treat them for canker,coccidiosis, megacteria. even if they don't have these things, I already worm and give my birds vitamins.

steps 3 to 5 do they apply to new birds? Because I thought you only treated them for these things step 3-5 if they had them or am I wrong.
