G'day A friend told me about giving chicken spoiled boiled eggs to budgies and there babies to help them grow faster. What I would like to know is this true can you? Thank You

Yea well the ones I thought were fertile were white and the others that I thought were infertile were like a cream pinkish color like it said in the faq which i followed.

I don't remember saying that she did lay every 2nd day? thats becaise I never said she did. The eggs were laid between 26th and the 1st.

okay for the third time I will say this my hen laid everday for 5 days.

yeah it it been 5 days today. for the last egg.anway I put them back they hadn't been out for long. so should still be alright if they are fertile as its not cold here.

I seen a dark figure in some of them and the rest were clear so I throw out the ones that were clear. Like it said in the FAQ.O never mind she finally decided to sit about time.

I look in the cage that is all I don't keep checkin the next box itself and then when I check the cage i don't do anything just go up to it and look in or from a distance I look in.this dark like figure in them but some were like clear with like air pockets so I tossed them out.

5 well there wasnope i barly touch the nest box. I may check it once a day some times not even that. mostly every 2nd day.

because every time I go in there to check or do something else shes not in the box and also the eggs aint warm.

Hen hasn't sat on egg for like 2 days should I move it to another hen that will? Also can somebody please tell me does it have to be around 18-22 for hen and cock to mate or is this just when the eggs are hatching?

well i got 5 pairs together all on top of each oother stacked to the ceiling that is. I have a sixth cage I am going to setup to I think.

YOU think if I get some bird songs on a cd or something that will increase the chances as well? As I have never heard of that being a problem with birds not hearing other birds so that dont breed. i have seen a few breeders where they have had these setups same as mine but in a shed outside instead of inside.

okay 4 weeks it is then well i will make it a even month then. I will try and pick ones out of the main cage that have bonded to increase success rate. But I will just give theses birds another month to try. By The Way about temp does 18-22C have to be that while they are trying to breed or just when eggs have hatched as it didn't say that in the FAQ.

okay I guess I didn't explain myslef correctly my fault. Heres my problem and question. I have 5 breeding cages each with 2 nest boxes why to I had to balance them out lol or they top over so I just added to. They live inside in my house in the bathroom with my washing machine and dishwasher they might get used about 2 times a week each. So its pretty quiet so far I have 2 pairs out of 5 start breeding, they have been in there since march. I am pretty sure they have all bonded as they are doing all the signs mostly. What I would like to know is how long from once you pair up a pair you give them to breed before you mark it down as a fail and try them with different partners? Thank You

okay I found the answer to my first question, can somebody please tell me what is the maximum time frame you should give a pair to start laying before you give up and try another?

I finally got my first batch of eggs only took like 2 months. 2 eggs so far started laying yesterday. I have a couple of questions, if somebody could please answer them I would be gratefull. What temputure should it be for breeding? What is the maximum time frame you should give a pair to start laying before you give up and try another? Thank You jared
