Hi all Today i was a bit naughty and brought 2 more budgies they both have yellow faces ones blue and the other is a very light greeny colour Im not sure on there sex at this stage i will have to post a picture of them and see what you all say??

The size of our aviary is 1.5 metres wide and 4.8 metres long and 2.4 high and the door on the back is only a small door so theres no escapes

It has lots of branches in it now for perches and in the housing part is the feeders and I just picked up our new breeding cages and I have 2 breeding pairs in them already and one hen is very cosy in her new nexting box by the looks of things.. We concreted the floor so we dont have any foxes trying to dig there way in and also so i can hose it out to keep things clean and fresh. I will get back to you on the measurements as im not sure

Hi, This is our Aviary it was built for my brothers eckys but we only had them for a short time so its been sitting there empty for ages and we brought a pair of budgies well they looked soooo tiny in there so i just had to buy some more (Laughing out loud).. how many more do you think i could keep in this. Theres plenty of room and plenty of branches to chew on. I hope this isnt too big and it looks a bit blury cos my hubbys not home to fix them up for me so i have just had a play around with it myself

Hi I have a little fella a bit like yours and I just put him in with a dark grey hen, what sort of colouring would I likely get from that breeding i was told by someone that it would most likely be greys, voilets??? Anybody have some ideas for me pls???

Hi all im wanting some babies one day with the yellow or cream heads and the bodys are blue, what coloured parents would you recommend I use??? they are so pretty and want some so bad..

Breeding cages with the nesting box already in them

I heard from a breeder that willow tree branchs will make them really randy too, cos when hes wanting his to breed he will go out and get some branches from a willow tree and it sends them over the top ......

Thankyou I wasnt sure wether the pet shops might not buy them cos they dont have rings. I will try and take some pics of our budgies soon i was a bit naughty yesterday and brought 2 a pair and the day before just 1 and today i was back to put 2 breeding boxes on hold as they were cheap i thought for $50 each which has 2 breeding boxes at each end and a divider in the middle..

Hi all, I was just wondering do i have to have rings on my young budgies to sell them to the pet shops? And being a breeder do i have to join a club, we are not interested in showing just breeding and selling them as pets. Thankyou

Hi all im new to this forum and just popped in to say hi and try and get as much information as I can. I bred budgies many years ago so 17 years down the track im back at it with my 6 year old son wanting to have a go at breeding. At this stage we have 8 they have all paired them selves off which is great and they have paired off with the right ones that i was going to put them in with.. Looking around at different breeds and many more different colours than what was around when i was breeding.. Hoping to get many helpful hints from you all now that i have joined. :budgiedance:
