Is it safe to let budgies munch on fresh Eucy leaves. I thought it would be okay as they like it and i assumed that traditionally in the wild they would. My sister inlaw(who is also a budgie owner) tells me they will get stoned-like koalas do. Does anyone know. They seem healthy and happy - have i made an error.

My three year old daughter came up with ColourAnn Chipalator for her fisrt budgie- how she came up with that i will never know. Bluebell.Sugar and Angel I named. Angel though is certainly no angel, but her beautiful white wings earnt her the name. Bluey cause it is her dominent colour, and Sugar cause he really is sweet.
  3. In my veiw No it wouldnt matter either way , but if you had three females to one male there may be fights I agree, I have 3 females and one male. At times the girls can be quite mean to him and it stresses me out
  4. Thankyou. Not the best photo, but the only one of all four together. They love sitting up there, the highest place they can be
  5. Here are my budgies peeking down from the curtain rail.
  6. Thanks, just trying to work out how to put an image up
  7. Hi , my name is suzii, I live in Victoria Australia. I have 4 budgies living together, 3 females and one male. ColourAnn, Bluebell 2, Sugar and Angel. ColourAnn i got at an animal shelter as a companion bird for bluebell1(who we sadly lost last year). I am unsure of her age, though she is a mature, quite bird. She is a beautiful bright yellow and green. Bluebell 2 came to us last year from a pet shop, we did not want to explain Blueies death to our three year old daughter, and she accepted the new birdie without to many questions. Angel and Sugar were in the same pet shop and both just babies as well and i just could not resist. That was last october and all three birds have settled in well. ColourAnn is the leader, but at times they drive her crazy, three crazy kids. I give her time for solitude in a separate cage most days. Sugar is the only boy, and is a pale yellow and green. Angel is mostly white with some black bars on her neck and head and a beautiful rich blue under her wings on her back
