  1. I am considering clipping our budgie's wings just the once to help with taming him. But I need a picture of how to do it. Like which feathers to do. Are there any pictures on this site, or does anyone have pictures of how to do it? I have looked and looked and am more confused than ever right now. Thanks guys. Kathym1977 :feedbirds:
  2. My budgie Beaky does exactly the same thing. Sometimes I have to go over and check because he looks, from outside the cage, as though he has his head through the bars. I have freaked out so many times!! I really can't see how they can be comfortable in some of the positions they get themselves into, but hey, whatever keeps them happy. Thanks for the laugh Kathym1977

  5. :fear I have since bought a bowl shaped nest for him to sleep in and he is loving it. He just wanted somewhere to snuggle up I think. I have also put his seed in a bowl on the floor of the cage and he is not flicking it out half as much as before. Can anyone give me some ideas on what kind of materials to put in the nest to make it even cosier for him? I was going to use paper towel, but was unsure if it is safe or not.I am working on the picture thing. I am new to getting photos off of my phone camera, so as soon as I get that sorted out, I will post some on this page. Thanks for all of your fantastic advice guys, I was sure I would have no replies by now, so it is great to hear from you all.Back soon with photos hopefully.Katherineokay I officially have no idea how to paste a photo onto here, so you will have to check out my facebook site to see the photos.Sorry for the painfull way of checking out Beaky guys. Still working on it though.Visit My Website
  6. I have a young budgie that we only got about three days ago. The lady at the shop said that he would be about two weeks out of the nest. He is blue and my son has named him Beaky. Such an original name I know, but my son is only 4!! Anyway, Beaky likes to flick all of the seed out of his feeder bowl and then once it is empty, climb in and sleep in it upside down! Is this normal and should I give him some gear to make a bit of a nest out of? He is our first budgie, so I would love to learn more. Thanks Katherine :bluebudgie:
