    Hello and welcome
  6. He would be a male spangle YF2 recessive pied
  7. Hello and welcome I look forward to your pictures. I have 6 cabinets, but only 3 are filled at the moment. having a quiet season, but am also getting in the show breeding too
  8. Seeing as they are all over 40 days, they should be okay on their own. Have you seen them eating etc. They really need to be away from any parent that is plucking them asap.
  9. My son is a clean little man who many call an old soul. My daughter is grose, she squelches all her food together and gets covered from head to toe in everything she does
  10. He will be fine to be let out today. He has been 2 weeks in my crazy house with the kids etc, he will be fine. He is a strong flyer so let him out in a bedroom or somewhere where there are not too many windows. If he takes off, stand still with your arms out and he will normally land on your arms or head Talk to him lots when he is on your hand, he really likes it and listens to you. Lots of food treats etc is great too
  11. So sorry, but both cages are not suitable :bluebudgie: Have a look here to see what you a looking for --- > Cages
  12. Looks like an awesome cage!! :bluebudgie: i can see they both love it very much. the bar spacing looks fine to me (its well under 15mm which is too wide)
  13. Awesome news!! It was so nice to meet you and your lovely family. I am so pleased he is happy - he is beautiful and i hope he settles in nicely :bluebudgie:
  14. no that doesn't normally happen. Any hen can get egg bound, but they wont hold them in. Most hens will just lay 1 or 2 eggs of the perch and then thats done with until they are given a box again.
  15. It's fine to remove the egg and the box :bluebudgie: The egg even if firtile would not be developed in any way so there is nothing to hurt by tossing it away
  16. If you want her to stop laying, take out her box and throw away the eggs. She may lay an egg or two off the perch, but they are fine doing that. Does she have babies at the moment ???? and the remaining eggs, how old are they ?
  17. An update! We are now going for 7 days!!! so there is more than enough time to see everyone :bluebudgie:
  18. Your boy has already bonded to Cookie, my male inside budgie He follows Cookie around like a lost puppy and unless they are in separate rooms your boy wont sit on me as he wants to sit with Cookie
  19. Raw is always better Just make sure they are well washed first, but not cooking them keeps the nutrients in and also my birds hate mushy cooked veggies
  20. I am so sorry
  21. So weird - would be a parasitic twin - Parasitic twins occur when a twin embryo begins developing in utero, but the pair does not fully separate, and one embryo maintains dominant development at the expense of the other. Unlike conjoined twins, one ceases development during gestation and is vestigial to a mostly fully-formed, otherwise healthy individual twin. The undeveloped twin is defined as parasitic, rather than conjoined, because it is incompletely formed or wholly dependent on the body functions of the complete fetus. don't google it if your squeamish - it comes up with nasty gory photos
  22. She is stunning - i looooove her colours
  23. too cute They are so adorable at that age
  24. Dr Nat, What is it with the wild animals with expensive taste - they always seem to go for the best birds I hope your eggs hatch! I hope everyone's birds stay safe during the storms. Feel free to send some of that weather down here, we need some rain - this summer will be a scorcher
