  1. I have a hen (Lady) who goes when in a small quarantine cage!!!! I had to empty my small aviary just for her so she wouldn't kill herself fighting to escape! I hope your hen is much happier now, and if she wants to lay, she has a nice safe place to do it, which i bet makes her a lot more comfortable :hap:
  2. YAY!!! Can't wait to see Molly :hap:
  3. Sorry, i had to go out. Poor Ghost I hope he is still okay - get him nice a warm with a 25-40 watt globe. Keep him quiet and sprinkle some seed infront of him so he can try and eat it if he has the strength. I really hope he is going to be okay. He may have already been hiding other health problems, and the change of diet has made them come to the surface. Warmth, rest, and clean fresh food is probably all that can be done for him right now. ((((( Hugs ))))) Keep us posted
  4. If your budgies are already healthy and getting a good diet, i wouldn't change what is already working. There are huge debates between processed food and natural food.... I am on the natural food side and i feel that seed fruit and vegies are best
  5. Probably looking for the real food hehehe What were you feeding before??? and why are you changing to pellets/crumbs?
  6. I have just stopped colony breeding too. I didn't have any real issues other than i didn't know who the father of the chicks were most of the time If you are really keen to breed, and colony breeding is not working, use cabinets

  13. People often breed while the birds in quarantine... so it's up to you if you want to let her nest and lay (giving her a box), or you will just need to take any laid eggs away and possibly separate them if the eggs keep coming.
  14. Yeah! I hate that over qualified excuse too!! I applied for night fill in our local supermarket (convenient hours for a Stay at home mum ) - because I have a Diploma in Software engineering I am "OVER QUALIFIED" Next time I will apply as a high school drop out hahaha! Pet shops REALLLLLLY NEEEEEED to employ people like you! I get so frustrated with the hopeless staff who pretend to know what they are talking about :glare: Don't tell them your qualifications next time hehehe
