  1. sorry, i can't see your picture ... Oh yes i can What a tricky choice you have to make. Personally, I would take him with me. If he wasn't sick it would probably be okay to leave him with a carer, but because he needs so much attention, a carer might miss the signs of further sickness and not take him to the vet.
  2. I am so sorry you did so well too. ((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))
  3. Could it be a grey wing grey budige???
  4. Never heard of it Perhaps it is a silver budgie as in the metal???
  5. Price of hand reared quakers is about $350 - $400 here in SA so you have been given a good price. I looked into buying one myself,- they are lovable and affectionate, but can have many behavioral problems. They need a LOT of attention and get possessive of their carer and can attack/bite other people etc. My niece has one and she is starting to have problems with him.
  6. I am so pleased Buddy is behaving again CM still sounds like a hen to me. These girls can get quite bossy. My Latte who has two male companions, is ALWAYS bossing them around haha. The bossiness is fine as long as it's not full on fighting or preventing Buddy from eating.
  7. They eat lots more, purely to keep their little bodies warm!! I double my food bill each winter
  8. I have an albino like that too, with the light brown on the rump.....
  9. They are very interesting.
  10. Sounds very interesting Would love to see a picture too
  11. I don't have a strong opinion either way with this topic. I think it's all about the individual situation and the condition of the animal. I hate to see and animal suffer, and i also hate to see them die, so either way is hard With me, it is all about quality of life. Some times i think it is necessary to euthanasia to be kind - my Lab (Walter) was 17 years old when he had a bad stroke. he rapidly got to the stage where he couldn't walk at all, he was incontinent (wees and poops) and all his organs were failing. He could have lived that way for weeks, perhaps even months He was would get covered in his own waste and stated to get bed sores. We made the tough choice to have him put to sleep rather than than letting him suffer - it was really hard to take him to the vet, but i don't regret it. the poor boy had no quality of life in the state he was in, and he had a brilliant life up until the stroke On the other hand, I would also take every measure possible to save an animals life as long as they would have quality of life when they recover
  12. Hello and welcome. Your budgie Blue is very sweet. Your English is good Blue is a Sky Blue Opaline. I can not tell by the photos if he has a yellow face or not. If his face is yellow, then he is a Yellow Face Sky Blue Opaline He is very cute
