It has been just over a 1 month since i took BG to the vets and got the devastating news that he was going to die. Here is BG today living with my insiders and being totally spoilt, and looking GREAT The beautiful boy sings his little heart out all day and I have even seen him playing with the Olympic rings. Who said show budgies don't like toys he even comes out for a fly every now and then, but he tires easily and prefers to lounge in the cage instead.

Yes you need to be a member of a club if you want to show budgies. Show budgie shown need club rings that you can only get from being a member of a club I believe the boxes are also bought from the club

I am thrilled Blue came out on his own He is such a brave boy who has been though so much - he must really trust his new loving home It is quite normal for budgies to be a bit hostile to new comers to the flock. Give them time and introduce them slowly and on neutral ground. They should all get along eventually

Perhaps you could make your own... On one of my cages i have made a proper one which is fitted at the sides. On another cage I have just used elastic a sheet and some pegs - works a treat and there is no sewing

Mine rip news paper to shreads too!! Its SOOOO messy, but they have a heap of fun doing it. Do you have a "seed catcher" thingy that goes around the bottom of the cage?? This should stop most of the paper falling out onto the floor

I have 2 males bonking in the aviary at the moment They will do it to anything with feathers and a heartbeat I look forward to putting them with females this summer, should have no troubles getting chicks
