Update
Hi everyone,Thought I would let you know, none of my lutino's eggs hatched after the 4th one died,She has started to lay again and I have another hen down at the same time , so I may mix and match. Hope to get 1 or 2 this time. Also my opaline is due for her eggs to hatch maybe tomorrow or the next.I think I might go back to breeding one on one rather than the aviary.

Hi everyone, Bad news the baby didn't make it through the night, no food in it's crop. I had a funny feeling that this would happen, 1 last egg to go, here's hoping. I think I will let her have one more round after this and see how she goe's .

HI everyone here's some pics of a few of my birds.- I Think Saffy Is Eggbound!
Hi Sailorwolf, just for future reference you can try taking the bird in your hand, you should be able to feel the egg, applying slight pressure from just above sometimes will easily dislodge it, or you can applya little olive oil brushed on the vent or carefully insert into the opening will help. Sorry this is a bit late hope all goe's well- Caption Competition Winner.

Thanks splat, and yes I do have other hens in there but they dont seem to bother the lutino.Allthough I do have an opaline that has 2 eggs and a little green hen does try to get in her box I actually caught her in the box yesterday, but the opaline seems to be okay, mind you if she gets within striking distance of the green well!!!!!!. I will keep you posted the first egg is due to hatch on thursday but im allowing to sat- Nesting In The Aviary
Does anyone have any idea's? I have a lutino hen with 6 eggs she does'nt seem to be sitting on her eggs a great deal of the time during the day,Yet she stays in her box during the night. The nest boxes are in the aviary, I have never bred budgies in an aviary before I used to only breed in seperate cages selectively.- What Mutation
