Thanks every one it helps. I will start saving now. I was already saving up for my budgie, a cage, toys, seed, ect. The left over money I will keep if we ever need to go to an avian vet for my birds health issue. Budgielover

Help, Is it important to go to the vet. I bet it is, but my mom said that she never did an they were okay. She said that if I took good enough care of my budgie we did not have to. If my budgie becomes sick I know I will have to go. Budgielover

I agree, what time to you leave for school? could someone else take the towel off or they could go to bed at 6.30pm that way at 5.30 you can take it off...... In all honesty my birds don't sleep that long maybe 9 - 10 hrs and they aren't ferrel.... I do cover them especially the outside aviary as it is freezing at night... Just do your best I would leave my house at 6:30

I guess I am going to have to wake up better. In the morning My mom turns on my light to wake me up. I guess I will put my tv to wake me up quietly and uncover the cage as I walk out. I will also cover it earlier. One more question Will noise effect budgies ability to sleep? Budgielover

Thanks so what should I do. I can't let it not get enought sleep. that would be bad. Can't a deficency in sleep make a budgie pluck feathers, scream, and bite. They become grumpy like people whan we don't get enought sleep. I would not injoy that.

I did not know where to put this so I put this here. I am in school and my sleeping schedule dose not fit the needed time for a budgies sleeping schedule. What should I do? My bed time is 9:00 p.m and I wake up for school at 5:40 a.m. Today I have read of another website that a budgie needs at least 10 hours of sleep time daily. I wanted to ask every one on this helpful website to help me with this problem. I don't know if the 80 minutes would really affect the budgie that much. I just want to make sure. Thanks Budgielover

I read that some budgies hate water. I sure hope that my budgie loves to bathe. At first I did not want a bird. After I read about them I learned that it would be really fun to have on. I don't want to just get one on inpulse so first I read up on some pets I might want. I never knew how much they need and I know that If I have a guestion I should come to this website to get it. No not anymore, Greg made me thin them out, so I only have the best left. You see if I keep them all there is no room for improvement and I am breeding to improve and show. It realy hurts when you have to part with something you have bred and loved but all mt birds go to realy good homes. I haven't realy counted them lately but there is about 40 Adult birds and 22 babies but you see there will be over 80 birds by the time I finish breeding, I haven't put last years birds down yet. I tis nice to know thanks

You don't bathe it ..... either spray with fine mish pump spray ( Room temp / warm water ) or leave a little container with water in it so they can bath themselves Don't worry neat. I know not to force my budgie in water and put bird shampoo on it. I just wanted to know Some helpful hints to bathe, mist, my bird. Sorry if I sound rude but I am not trying to be. Budgielover
