Hello to all,well my brother went to the pet shop back on Thursday and bought an ADULT BUDGIE which was GROUPED in the CAGE with ADULTS FEMALES,the main concern if classed as adult female budgie why is her cere a dark pink with white over the nostrils if at least 12 months it should be different right? Some Additional information,Yellow/Lutino Budgie with black/spots/stripes on wings. in the matter of ceres she looks like something between this and this

I think you have 2 males/cocks and 2 females/hens The cere is fine it means shes probably not in breeding condition since it's kind of light. The Male 2 the far right looks like his cere is brighter.

some budgies don't stop I have 4 budgies and have only even been able to tame one of them because the others bite so hard to it could cut you

Nice Colours Haven't ever seen budgies quite like those,I hope my budgies eggs hatch soon it's been 22 days since the first got laid and 10 since the 3rd,6total.

I got all my budgies when they were young 3 or 4 months of age they groomed at their age. is this budgie ''henry'' just grown all his feathers recently?

Nope none out of the box and this is her first time laying eggs By The Way,well she didn't lay until 2 weeks after i set up the breeding box,so it's her first cycle/clutch. edit* and now shes had a 5th egg okay now it's 6 eggs

well yes he is bored but likes to chat with his mates who live in the cage next door,OMG just checked nesting box theres another egg now,which now makes number 4!!!

well i think the first should hatch around the 20th and the second around the 24-25th. she doesn't lay every other or second day she lays like every 3-5 days. By The Way now that the breeding pair is separated from the other 2 males chidori/yellow male seems to be getting less attention since shes always inside the breeding box now hopefully he'll do it more with her now,since bluee was jealous and caused fights when they were beak petting/kissing.

I did the light test one didn't change with a glow so the first had no glow,the second looked like it had a redish/brownish vein inside and the third looked a bit orange.

I tried carrot and peeled carrot but they didn't even touch it, the lettuce is the dark green kind,they're fussy over what they eat these budgies. Oh and thanks to all who replied with good info and welcoming me, I'm going to go and do that torch thing but i won't touch the eggs.

Hello to all I'm Daniel and I'm from CC,NSW,AU,anyway I have a question about my budgies,for your information they're in my signature image, so the question is about chidori-kun and skye they're very attached to each other and have been for a very long time well 15 months just about i separated them from the 2 other boys since skye is a hen normal crusty brown i presume and chidori-kun is a lutino cock with a pink beak, we caught them doing it a few times so it's confirmed anyway the breeding couple are in a seperate cage which is alot bigger than bluee's and picollo's cage,so getting to the main point of this question skye has laid 3 eggs so far,now it's six the first was laid exactly 10 days ago and the new one was laid yesterday ''3rd'' I want to know how many more eggs I should expect their to come and the chances that they're all fertile,By The Way both cages have plenty of seed,water,cuttlebone's,and i give them lettuce and nectarines since they like those daily as well. Oh and shes attached to the nest box she's in there like most of the day coming out to stretch her wings hourly or so. more budgie pictures
